Description

An exciting culinary adventure featuring crispy shrimp tossed in a creamy, spicy bang bang sauce, nestled in warm tortillas topped with vibrant slaw.

Ingredients

  • 1 pound shrimp, peeled and deveined
  • 1 cup panko bread crumbs
  • 1 cup flour
  • 2 eggs, beaten
  • 1/2 cup mayonnaise
  • 1 tablespoon sweet chili sauce
  • 1 teaspoon sriracha (or to taste)
  • Salt and pepper to taste
  • 8 small flour tortillas
  • 2 cups shredded cabbage (for slaw)
  • 1/4 cup chopped cilantro (for slaw)
  • 1 tablespoon lime juice (for slaw)

Instructions

  1. Preheat your air fryer to 400°F (200°C).
  2. Set up a breading station with three bowls: one for flour, one for beaten eggs, and one for panko bread crumbs.
  3. Season the shrimp with salt and pepper. Dip each shrimp into the flour, then into the eggs, and finally coat them in panko.
  4. Place the coated shrimp in the air fryer in a single layer. Cook for 8-10 minutes until crispy and cooked through.
  5. While the shrimp is cooking, prepare your bang bang sauce by mixing together mayonnaise, sweet chili sauce, sriracha, and additional salt and pepper if needed.
  6. In another bowl, combine the shredded cabbage, chopped cilantro, and lime juice for the slaw.
  7. Once the shrimp is done, toss them in the bang bang sauce, coating them well.
  8. Serve the shrimp in warmed flour tortillas topped with slaw. Enjoy your delicious creation!

Notes

For a creative twist, swap shrimp for chicken or tofu, or add diced mango to the slaw.
