Description

A simple and delicious recipe for moist banana bread that transforms ripe bananas into a comforting loaf, perfect for breakfast or snacks.

Ingredients

  • 3 ripe bananas, mashed (about 1 to 1 1/2 cups)
  • 1/3 cup melted butter
  • 3/4 cup granulated sugar
  • 1 large egg, beaten
  • 1 teaspoon vanilla extract
  • 1 teaspoon baking soda
  • 1/4 teaspoon salt
  • 1 1/2 cups all-purpose flour

Instructions

  1. Preheat your oven to 350°F (175°C). Grease a 9×5-inch loaf pan or line it with parchment paper.
  2. In a large bowl, mash the ripe bananas until they’re mostly smooth.
  3. Stir in the melted butter until fully combined.
  4. Mix in the granulated sugar, beaten egg, and vanilla extract until blended.
  5. Sprinkle the baking soda and salt into the mixture and stir gently.
  6. Fold in the all-purpose flour, mixing just until combined; don’t overmix.
  7. Pour the batter into your prepared loaf pan, smoothing it out evenly.
  8. Bake for 50-60 minutes. Check for doneness using a toothpick—when it comes out clean, it’s ready!
  9. Let the banana bread cool in the pan for 10 minutes, then transfer it to a wire rack to cool completely before slicing.

Notes

For a heartier texture, substitute whole wheat flour; for a deeper flavor, use brown sugar.
