Description

Bang Bang Salmon stands out with its delightful blend of crispy skin and a spicy, creamy sauce. A quick and impressive dish perfect for any occasion.

Ingredients

  • 4 skin-on salmon fillets (about 6 oz each)
  • 2 tablespoons olive oil
  • 1 teaspoon salt
  • 1 teaspoon black pepper
  • 1 teaspoon garlic powder (or 1 clove fresh garlic, minced)
  • 1 teaspoon paprika
  • 1/2 cup mayonnaise (or Greek yogurt for a lighter option)
  • 1/4 cup sweet chili sauce
  • 1 tablespoon sriracha (adjust to your heat preference)
  • 1 tablespoon honey (or maple syrup as a substitute)
  • 1 tablespoon lime juice (fresh preferred)
  • 2 tablespoons green onions, finely chopped (plus extra for garnish)

Instructions

  1. Pat the fillets dry and season both sides with salt, pepper, garlic powder, and paprika. Set aside.
  2. In a small bowl, whisk together mayonnaise, sweet chili sauce, sriracha, honey, and lime juice. Adjust seasoning and fold in green onions; refrigerate.
  3. Heat a heavy skillet over medium-high heat, add olive oil. Once shimmering, place salmon skin-side down and cook for 4-6 minutes until skin is crispy.
  4. Flip the salmon and cook for an additional 1-3 minutes to desired doneness (125-130°F for medium).
  5. Remove salmon from pan, let rest for 1-2 minutes, then serve with sauce and garnish with green onions.

Notes

For crispy skin, start with dry fillets and ensure the pan is hot before cooking. Adjust sauce ingredients to match personal taste.
