  • 1/2 cup bourbon
  • 1/2 cup low-sodium soy sauce
  • 3 cloves minced garlic
  • 1 tablespoon fresh ginger (or ginger paste)
  • 1/4 cup brown sugar
  • 1 tablespoon sesame oil
  • Scallions (for garnish)


Instructions

  1. In your slow cooker, add the soy sauce, bourbon, minced garlic, fresh ginger, and brown sugar. Mix well to combine.
  2. Place the chicken thighs in the slow cooker, ensuring each piece is well-coated with the sauce.
  3. Cover and cook on low for 4-6 hours, or until the chicken is fork-tender.
  4. Once the chicken is cooked, shred it directly in the sauce using two forks. Mix everything together to soak the chicken in the delicious sauce.

Notes
