Delicious and easy BBQ chicken made in a crockpot, perfect for busy weeknights or gatherings.
Ingredients
- 2 lbs boneless, skinless chicken breasts
- 1 1/4 cups barbecue sauce
- 1/2 cup fat-free Italian dressing
- 2 tablespoons Worcestershire sauce
- 1/4 cup light brown sugar
- 1 tablespoon garlic powder
- 1 tablespoon onion powder
- Salt and black pepper, to taste
Instructions
- Prep your crockpot: Spray the inside with non-stick cooking spray to prevent sticking.
- Season the chicken: Lightly sprinkle the chicken breasts with salt, pepper, onion powder, and garlic powder, ensuring they’re evenly coated.
- Make the sauce: In a mixing bowl, combine barbecue sauce, Italian dressing, light brown sugar, and Worcestershire sauce. Whisk until smooth.
- Combine: Pour the sauce over the chicken in the crockpot, making sure every piece is nicely coated.
- Cook: Cover and cook on high for 150-180 minutes or on low for 300-360 minutes, until the chicken reaches an internal temperature of 165°F.
- Shred and serve: Once cooked, shred the chicken directly in the crockpot using two forks. It’s ready to enjoy!

Don’t overcrowd the crockpot, and check doneness with a meat thermometer.
