Description
Delicious mini sliders that capture the essence of a Big Mac using Hawaiian rolls, seasoned beef, and a tangy sauce.
Ingredients
- 1 lb ground beef (80/20)
- 12 Hawaiian rolls
- 1/4 cup mayonnaise
- 1/4 cup ketchup
- 1 tablespoon yellow mustard
- 1/4 cup chopped onions (sweet or white)
- Pickles (sliced)
- Cheddar cheese slices (cut to fit sliders)
- Salt and pepper to taste
Instructions
- Preheat the oven to 350°F (175°C).
- Heat a skillet over medium. Add the ground beef and cook, breaking it up, until browned and no pink remains (about 6–8 minutes). Drain excess fat into a heatproof container.
- Season beef with salt and freshly ground black pepper to taste. Stir and keep warm.
- Using a serrated knife, slice the Hawaiian roll package in half horizontally so you have a bottom slab and a top slab. Place the bottom slab in a baking dish sized to hold the rolls snugly.
- In a small bowl, combine mayonnaise, ketchup, and mustard. Spread this sauce evenly over the bottom halves of the rolls.
- Evenly layer the cooked beef across the sauced bottoms. Top with slices of cheddar, then scatter the chopped onions and arrange pickle slices.
- Place the top half of the rolls over the filling. Optionally brush the tops with melted butter for extra shine and flavor.
- Bake in the preheated oven for about 12–15 minutes, until the cheese is melted and everything is heated through.
- Remove from oven, slice between sliders, serve warm, and enjoy.
