Description

Delicious mini sliders that capture the essence of a Big Mac using Hawaiian rolls, seasoned beef, and a tangy sauce.

Ingredients

  • 1 lb ground beef (80/20)
  • 12 Hawaiian rolls
  • 1/4 cup mayonnaise
  • 1/4 cup ketchup
  • 1 tablespoon yellow mustard
  • 1/4 cup chopped onions (sweet or white)
  • Pickles (sliced)
  • Cheddar cheese slices (cut to fit sliders)
  • Salt and pepper to taste

Instructions

  1. Preheat the oven to 350°F (175°C).
  2. Heat a skillet over medium. Add the ground beef and cook, breaking it up, until browned and no pink remains (about 6–8 minutes). Drain excess fat into a heatproof container.
  3. Season beef with salt and freshly ground black pepper to taste. Stir and keep warm.
  4. Using a serrated knife, slice the Hawaiian roll package in half horizontally so you have a bottom slab and a top slab. Place the bottom slab in a baking dish sized to hold the rolls snugly.
  5. In a small bowl, combine mayonnaise, ketchup, and mustard. Spread this sauce evenly over the bottom halves of the rolls.
  6. Evenly layer the cooked beef across the sauced bottoms. Top with slices of cheddar, then scatter the chopped onions and arrange pickle slices.
  7. Place the top half of the rolls over the filling. Optionally brush the tops with melted butter for extra shine and flavor.
  8. Bake in the preheated oven for about 12–15 minutes, until the cheese is melted and everything is heated through.
  9. Remove from oven, slice between sliders, serve warm, and enjoy.
