Description
Quick and satisfying breakfast sliders with seasoned sausage, scrambled eggs, and melted cheese on soft slider buns.
Ingredients
- 12 slider buns
- 1 pound breakfast sausage
- 8 large eggs
- 6–8 cheese slices (cheddar, American, or Monterey Jack)
- 2–3 tablespoons butter, melted
- Salt and freshly ground black pepper, to taste
Instructions
- Preheat the oven to 350°F (175°C) and lightly grease a baking dish.
- In a skillet over medium heat, crumble and cook the breakfast sausage until fully browned. Drain excess fat if needed.
- Using the same skillet, whisk the eggs with salt and pepper, cooking until just set but still moist.
- Place the bottom halves of the slider buns in the prepared baking dish.
- Distribute the sausage over the bun bottoms, spoon scrambled eggs over the sausage, and layer cheese on top.
- Cap with the top halves of the buns and brush with melted butter.
- Bake for 12–15 minutes until the cheese is melted and buns are lightly toasted. Let rest for 1–2 minutes before serving.
Notes
Swap sausage for plant-based options for a vegetarian dish. Use dairy-free butter and cheese for a dairy-free version. Assemble the night before for convenience.
