Description

Cheeseburger sliders are a tiny take on a backyard favorite, featuring soft Hawaiian rolls, seasoned ground beef, melty cheese, and classic fixings.

Ingredients

  • 1 (12-pack) Hawaiian rolls, split horizontally
  • 1 lb ground beef (80/20 recommended)
  • Salt and freshly ground pepper, to taste
  • 46 slices cheese (American, cheddar, or pepper jack)
  • Pickle slices or spears
  • Ketchup, to taste
  • Mustard (optional)
  • Onion, thinly sliced (optional)
  • 12 tablespoons butter, melted (optional)

Instructions

  1. Preheat your oven to 350°F (175°C) and place a rack in the middle.
  2. Heat a skillet over medium heat, add ground beef, and break it up with a spatula as it cooks.
  3. Once fully browned, season with salt and pepper and drain excessive fat if needed.
  4. Slice the Hawaiian rolls horizontally and place the bottom half in a 9×13-inch baking dish.
  5. Spread the cooked beef evenly over the bottom rolls.
  6. Lay cheese slices over the beef to cover.
  7. Add pickles, a light drizzle of ketchup, mustard if using, and thin onion slices if desired.
  8. Press the top half of the rolls over the sliders and brush with melted butter if desired.
  9. Bake for about 12–15 minutes until the cheese is melted and the tops are golden.
  10. Remove from the oven, slice between the buns and serve warm.

Notes

Store leftovers in an airtight container for up to 3–4 days. For best texture, reheat in a 350°F oven.
