Description
Cheeseburger sliders are a tiny take on a backyard favorite, featuring soft Hawaiian rolls, seasoned ground beef, melty cheese, and classic fixings.
Ingredients
- 1 (12-pack) Hawaiian rolls, split horizontally
- 1 lb ground beef (80/20 recommended)
- Salt and freshly ground pepper, to taste
- 4–6 slices cheese (American, cheddar, or pepper jack)
- Pickle slices or spears
- Ketchup, to taste
- Mustard (optional)
- Onion, thinly sliced (optional)
- 1–2 tablespoons butter, melted (optional)
Instructions
- Preheat your oven to 350°F (175°C) and place a rack in the middle.
- Heat a skillet over medium heat, add ground beef, and break it up with a spatula as it cooks.
- Once fully browned, season with salt and pepper and drain excessive fat if needed.
- Slice the Hawaiian rolls horizontally and place the bottom half in a 9×13-inch baking dish.
- Spread the cooked beef evenly over the bottom rolls.
- Lay cheese slices over the beef to cover.
- Add pickles, a light drizzle of ketchup, mustard if using, and thin onion slices if desired.
- Press the top half of the rolls over the sliders and brush with melted butter if desired.
- Bake for about 12–15 minutes until the cheese is melted and the tops are golden.
- Remove from the oven, slice between the buns and serve warm.
Notes
Store leftovers in an airtight container for up to 3–4 days. For best texture, reheat in a 350°F oven.
