Description

A nostalgic treat that offers the warmth of freshly baked banana bread, perfect for any occasion.

Ingredients

  • 3 ripe bananas, mashed
  • 1/3 cup honey
  • 1/4 cup melted butter
  • 1 teaspoon vanilla extract
  • 1 teaspoon baking soda
  • Pinch of salt
  • 1 cup all-purpose flour
  • 1/2 teaspoon ground cinnamon (optional)
  • 1/2 cup chopped nuts (walnuts or pecans) or chocolate chips (optional)

Instructions

  1. Preheat your oven to 350°F (175°C) and grease a 4×8-inch loaf pan.
  2. In a mixing bowl, mash the bananas until smooth.
  3. Add honey and melted butter to the bananas, mixing well to combine.
  4. Stir in the vanilla extract, baking soda, and salt until fully incorporated.
  5. Gradually fold in the flour and optional cinnamon, mixing until just combined.
  6. If desired, fold in chopped nuts or chocolate chips for an added crunch or sweetness.
  7. Pour the batter into your prepared loaf pan and smooth the top with a spatula.
  8. Bake for 50–60 minutes. A toothpick inserted into the center should come out clean to check for doneness.
  9. Allow the bread to cool in the pan for 10–15 minutes before transferring it to a wire rack to cool completely. Slice and enjoy!
