A rich and flavorful dish featuring shrimp, creamy sauce, and Cajun spices, perfect for busy weeknights or dinner parties.
Ingredients
- 8 oz pasta (fettuccine or linguine)
- 1 lb shrimp (peeled and deveined)
- 2 tablespoons Cajun seasoning
- 1 tablespoon olive oil
- 3 cloves garlic (minced)
- 1 cup heavy cream
- 1 cup chicken broth
- 1/2 cup Parmesan cheese (grated)
- Salt and pepper to taste
- Chopped parsley for garnish
Instructions
- Cook pasta according to package instructions. Drain and set aside.
- In a large skillet over medium heat, add olive oil. Toss in shrimp and sprinkle with Cajun seasoning. Cook until pink and cooked through (2-3 minutes per side). Remove shrimp and set aside.
- Add minced garlic to the same skillet and sauté for about a minute until fragrant.
- Pour in chicken broth and heavy cream. Allow to simmer for a few minutes until thickened slightly.
- Stir in grated Parmesan cheese until melted and well combined.
- Return shrimp to the skillet and mix thoroughly. Add cooked pasta, tossing everything together. Season with salt and pepper to taste.
- Serve hot, garnished with chopped parsley.
Notes
For added flavor, don’t hesitate to use fresh garlic and consider a pinch of red pepper flakes for extra heat.
