Description

A rich and flavorful dish featuring shrimp, creamy sauce, and Cajun spices, perfect for busy weeknights or dinner parties.

Ingredients

  • 8 oz pasta (fettuccine or linguine)
  • 1 lb shrimp (peeled and deveined)
  • 2 tablespoons Cajun seasoning
  • 1 tablespoon olive oil
  • 3 cloves garlic (minced)
  • 1 cup heavy cream
  • 1 cup chicken broth
  • 1/2 cup Parmesan cheese (grated)
  • Salt and pepper to taste
  • Chopped parsley for garnish

Instructions

  1. Cook pasta according to package instructions. Drain and set aside.
  2. In a large skillet over medium heat, add olive oil. Toss in shrimp and sprinkle with Cajun seasoning. Cook until pink and cooked through (2-3 minutes per side). Remove shrimp and set aside.
  3. Add minced garlic to the same skillet and sauté for about a minute until fragrant.
  4. Pour in chicken broth and heavy cream. Allow to simmer for a few minutes until thickened slightly.
  5. Stir in grated Parmesan cheese until melted and well combined.
  6. Return shrimp to the skillet and mix thoroughly. Add cooked pasta, tossing everything together. Season with salt and pepper to taste.
  7. Serve hot, garnished with chopped parsley.

Notes

For added flavor, don’t hesitate to use fresh garlic and consider a pinch of red pepper flakes for extra heat.
