Ingredients
- 1 pound large shrimp, peeled and deveined
- 3 cloves garlic, minced
- 2 tablespoons olive oil
- 1 teaspoon smoked paprika
- 1 cup heavy cream
- Salt and pepper, to taste
- Fresh parsley, for garnish
Instructions
- Prepare the shrimp by patting it dry and seasoning it with salt, pepper, and smoked paprika.
- Mince the garlic cloves finely.
- Heat olive oil over medium heat in a large skillet.
- Sear the seasoned shrimp for about 2-3 minutes on each side until pink and opaque, then remove from the skillet.
- Add minced garlic to the skillet and sauté for 1-2 minutes.
- Pour in the heavy cream, bringing it to a simmer while stirring until it thickens slightly.
- Return the shrimp to the skillet and toss to coat with the creamy garlic sauce.
- Garnish with freshly chopped parsley and serve hot.
Notes
For a lighter option, substitute heavy cream with half-and-half or non-dairy cream. Consider adding a splash of white wine or red pepper flakes for extra flavor.
