Description

A quick and satisfying dish combining juicy shrimp with a rich, creamy garlic-paprika sauce.

Ingredients

  • 1 pound large shrimp, peeled and deveined
  • 3 cloves garlic, minced
  • 2 tablespoons olive oil
  • 1 teaspoon smoked paprika
  • 1 cup heavy cream
  • Salt and pepper, to taste
  • Fresh parsley, for garnish

Instructions

  1. Prepare the shrimp by patting it dry and seasoning it with salt, pepper, and smoked paprika.
  2. Mince the garlic cloves finely.
  3. Heat olive oil over medium heat in a large skillet.
  4. Sear the seasoned shrimp for about 2-3 minutes on each side until pink and opaque, then remove from the skillet.
  5. Add minced garlic to the skillet and sauté for 1-2 minutes.
  6. Pour in the heavy cream, bringing it to a simmer while stirring until it thickens slightly.
  7. Return the shrimp to the skillet and toss to coat with the creamy garlic sauce.
  8. Garnish with freshly chopped parsley and serve hot.

Notes

For a lighter option, substitute heavy cream with half-and-half or non-dairy cream. Consider adding a splash of white wine or red pepper flakes for extra flavor.
