Description

This dish features bold Caribbean jerk flavors married with a silky Parmesan cream sauce and tender pasta, making it a cozy weeknight dinner option that impresses.

Ingredients

  • 8 oz pasta (penne or fettuccine recommended)
  • 1 lb shrimp, peeled and deveined (1620 count)
  • 1 tbsp jerk seasoning
  • 2 tbsp olive oil
  • 1 bell pepper, thinly sliced
  • 1 cup heavy cream
  • 1/2 cup chicken broth
  • 1/2 cup grated Parmesan cheese
  • Salt and freshly ground black pepper, to taste
  • Fresh parsley, chopped, for garnish

Instructions

  1. Bring a large pot of salted water to a rolling boil. Add pasta and cook until al dente. Reserve 1/4 cup pasta water, then drain.
  2. Toss shrimp with jerk seasoning in a bowl and let sit for 2–3 minutes.
  3. Heat olive oil in a large skillet over medium-high heat. Sear shrimp for 2–3 minutes per side until opaque and firm.
  4. Remove shrimp and sauté bell pepper in the same skillet for 3–4 minutes until softened and charred.
  5. Add heavy cream and chicken broth to the skillet; bring to a gentle simmer. Stir in Parmesan until melted and smooth.
  6. Return shrimp and pasta to the skillet; toss to coat. Adjust seasoning with salt and pepper. Serve garnished with parsley.

Notes

This dish is best served hot straight from the skillet. Pair with a crisp green salad or crusty bread to soak up the sauce.
