Ingredients
- 8 oz pasta (linguine or fettuccine)
- 1 lb shrimp, peeled and deveined
- 4 cloves garlic, minced
- 2 cups heavy cream
- 1 cup grated Parmesan cheese
- 1 cup shredded mozzarella cheese
- 1/4 cup fresh parsley, chopped
- 2 tbsp butter
- Salt and pepper to taste
- 1/2 tsp red pepper flakes (optional)
Instructions
- Preheat your oven to 350°F (175°C).
- Cook the pasta according to package instructions until just al dente. Drain and set aside.
- In a large skillet, melt butter over medium heat. Add minced garlic and sauté for about a minute until fragrant.
- Add the shrimp, season with salt, pepper, and red pepper flakes if desired. Cook until shrimp are pink and opaque, about 3-4 minutes.
- Pour in the heavy cream and let it simmer. Stir in Parmesan cheese and half of the mozzarella until melted and creamy.
- Combine the cooked pasta with the shrimp mixture, ensuring everything is well-coated.
- Transfer the mixture to a greased baking dish and sprinkle the remaining mozzarella cheese on top.
- Bake for 20-25 minutes or until bubbly and golden.
- Garnish with fresh parsley before serving.
Notes
For a richer flavor, consider adding fresh herbs like basil or thyme. To make ahead, prepare up to the baking step and refrigerate.
