Description

A comforting creamy shrimp scampi pasta bake featuring layers of pasta, shrimp, and a cheesy topping. Perfect for family dinners or gatherings.

Ingredients

  • 8 oz pasta (linguine or fettuccine)
  • 1 lb shrimp, peeled and deveined
  • 4 cloves garlic, minced
  • 2 cups heavy cream
  • 1 cup grated Parmesan cheese
  • 1 cup shredded mozzarella cheese
  • 1/4 cup fresh parsley, chopped
  • 2 tbsp butter
  • Salt and pepper to taste
  • 1/2 tsp red pepper flakes (optional)

Instructions

  1. Preheat your oven to 350°F (175°C).
  2. Cook the pasta according to package instructions until just al dente. Drain and set aside.
  3. In a large skillet, melt butter over medium heat. Add minced garlic and sauté for about a minute until fragrant.
  4. Add the shrimp, season with salt, pepper, and red pepper flakes if desired. Cook until shrimp are pink and opaque, about 3-4 minutes.
  5. Pour in the heavy cream and let it simmer. Stir in Parmesan cheese and half of the mozzarella until melted and creamy.
  6. Combine the cooked pasta with the shrimp mixture, ensuring everything is well-coated.
  7. Transfer the mixture to a greased baking dish and sprinkle the remaining mozzarella cheese on top.
  8. Bake for 20-25 minutes or until bubbly and golden.
  9. Garnish with fresh parsley before serving.

Notes

For a richer flavor, consider adding fresh herbs like basil or thyme. To make ahead, prepare up to the baking step and refrigerate.
