Description

A delicious and easy breakfast casserole made with crescent rolls, sausage, eggs, and cheese, perfect for brunch or family breakfast.

Ingredients

  • 1 (8-ounce) package refrigerated crescent rolls
  • Nonstick spray for the pan
  • 1 pound breakfast sausage
  • 8 large eggs
  • 1 1/4 cups milk
  • 3/4 teaspoon Kosher salt
  • 1/4 teaspoon garlic powder
  • 1/4 teaspoon ground black pepper
  • 1/21 cup shredded cheddar cheese
  • 1/2 cup shredded Monterey Jack cheese

Instructions

  1. Preheat your oven to 350°F (175°C) and prepare a 9×13-inch baking dish with nonstick spray.
  2. Unroll the crescent dough and gently press it into the bottom of the dish, making sure to seal all seams. Stick it in the oven for a quick 5-minute prebake to set the crust.
  3. In a skillet over medium heat, brown the sausage, breaking it apart as it cooks. Once done, drain any excess grease.
  4. In a bowl, whisk together the eggs, milk, salt, garlic powder, and black pepper until well combined.
  5. Spread the cooked sausage evenly over the pre-baked crust. Next, sprinkle both cheeses over the sausage and pour the egg mixture on top.
  6. Bake for 35-40 minutes until the center is set. Allow it to rest for 5-10 minutes before slicing into squares and serving warm.

Notes

For a vegetarian version, omit the sausage and add your favorite vegetables and cheeses.
