Ingredients
- 4 boneless, skinless chicken breasts
- 1/2 cup honey
- 1/4 cup soy sauce
- 1/4 cup ketchup
- 3 cloves garlic, minced
- 1/2 teaspoon black pepper
- 1/2 teaspoon salt
- 1 tablespoon cornstarch (optional for thickening)
- 2 tablespoons water (optional for thickening)
- Chopped green onions (for garnish)
Instructions
- In a mixing bowl, combine the honey, soy sauce, ketchup, minced garlic, black pepper, and salt.
- Place the chicken breasts in the crockpot and pour the sauce evenly over the chicken.
- Cover the crockpot and set it to cook on low for 6-7 hours, or high for 3-4 hours, until the chicken is fully cooked and tender.
- If you want a thicker sauce, mix the cornstarch and water in a small bowl. Add it to the crockpot, stirring well, then let it cook for an additional 30 minutes.
- When serving, drizzle the chicken with the sauce and garnish with chopped green onions.
Notes
For extra flavor, marinate the chicken in the sauce for a couple of hours before cooking. You can substitute chicken with tofu for a vegetarian version.
