Description

A tender and succulent chicken dish marinated in a sweet and savory sauce, perfect for busy weeknights and family dinners.

Ingredients

  • 4 boneless, skinless chicken breasts
  • 1/2 cup honey
  • 1/4 cup soy sauce
  • 1/4 cup ketchup
  • 3 cloves garlic, minced
  • 1/2 teaspoon black pepper
  • 1/2 teaspoon salt
  • 1 tablespoon cornstarch (optional for thickening)
  • 2 tablespoons water (optional for thickening)
  • Chopped green onions (for garnish)

Instructions

  1. In a mixing bowl, combine the honey, soy sauce, ketchup, minced garlic, black pepper, and salt.
  2. Place the chicken breasts in the crockpot and pour the sauce evenly over the chicken.
  3. Cover the crockpot and set it to cook on low for 6-7 hours, or high for 3-4 hours, until the chicken is fully cooked and tender.
  4. If you want a thicker sauce, mix the cornstarch and water in a small bowl. Add it to the crockpot, stirring well, then let it cook for an additional 30 minutes.
  5. When serving, drizzle the chicken with the sauce and garnish with chopped green onions.

Notes

For extra flavor, marinate the chicken in the sauce for a couple of hours before cooking. You can substitute chicken with tofu for a vegetarian version.
