Description

A cozy, indulgent treat featuring ripe bananas and rich cocoa, perfect for breakfast or a snack.

Ingredients

  • 3 ripe bananas, mashed
  • 1/3 cup melted butter
  • 1/2 cup sugar
  • 1 large egg
  • 1 teaspoon vanilla extract
  • 1 teaspoon baking soda
  • A pinch of salt
  • 1 cup all-purpose flour
  • 1/2 cup cocoa powder
  • 1/2 cup chocolate chips

Instructions

  1. Preheat your oven to 350°F (175°C) and grease a 9×5 inch loaf pan.
  2. In a mixing bowl, mash the ripe bananas with a fork until smooth.
  3. Stir in the melted butter until the mixture is well combined.
  4. Mix in the sugar thoroughly, then add the egg and vanilla extract.
  5. Incorporate the baking soda and a pinch of salt into the wet ingredients.
  6. Gradually add the all-purpose flour and cocoa powder, mixing until just combined.
  7. Fold in the chocolate chips, creating a luscious batter.
  8. Pour the batter into your prepared loaf pan.
  9. Bake for 50-60 minutes, or until a toothpick inserted into the center comes out clean.
  10. Allow the bread to cool in the pan for a few minutes before transferring it to a wire rack to cool completely.

Notes

For best results, use very ripe bananas for enhanced sweetness and moisture. Store in an airtight container for up to three days.
