Description
A convenient and delicious weeknight dinner that combines sweet and savory flavors, perfect for busy schedules.
Ingredients
- 4 boneless, skinless chicken breasts
- 1 cup teriyaki sauce
- 2 tablespoons honey
- 1 tablespoon soy sauce
- 1 teaspoon garlic powder
- 1 teaspoon ginger powder
- Cooked rice or noodles for serving
- Optional: sliced green onions and sesame seeds for garnish
Instructions
- Place the chicken breasts evenly in the crockpot.
- In a separate bowl, mix together the teriyaki sauce, honey, soy sauce, garlic powder, and ginger powder.
- Pour the sauce over the chicken, ensuring each piece is well coated.
- Cover the crockpot and cook on low for 6-7 hours or high for 3-4 hours, until the chicken is cooked through and tender.
- Once done, shred the chicken directly in the sauce and stir to combine all the flavors.
- Serve over your choice of cooked rice or noodles, garnished with sliced green onions and sesame seeds if desired.
Notes
For maximum flavor, let the chicken marinate in the teriyaki sauce for a couple of hours before cooking. For a thicker sauce, simmer uncovered after removing the chicken.
