Description
A simple yet extraordinary no-knead bread recipe that captures the flavors of an everything bagel, creating a crusty and delicious loaf perfect for any meal.
Ingredients
- 3-1/4 cups bread flour or all-purpose flour
- 1 tsp instant yeast
- 1 tsp salt
- 2 Tbsp everything bagel seasoning (divided)
- 1-1/2 cups warm water
Instructions
- In a large mixing bowl, whisk together the flour, instant yeast, salt, and 1 tablespoon of everything bagel seasoning.
- Gradually add warm water, mixing with a large fork until fully combined. The dough should be shaggy and sticky.
- Cover the bowl with plastic wrap and let it rest in a warm, non-drafty area for 12-24 hours, or until bubbly on top.
- Sprinkle flour on parchment paper, carefully turn the dough onto it and shape it into a ball.
- Gently cut an X on top of the dough and let it rest for another 30 minutes.
- Preheat your Dutch oven in the oven at 450°F for 30 minutes.
- Dust off any excess flour from the parchment, spray or brush the loaf with warm water, and sprinkle with remaining everything bagel seasoning.
- Carefully lower the dough into the hot Dutch oven, cover, and bake for 30 minutes.
- Remove the lid and bake for an additional 5-10 minutes, or until golden brown.
- Transfer to a cooling rack and allow to cool for at least 30 minutes before slicing.
Notes
If desired, adjust the amount of everything bagel seasoning based on your preference. Allowing the dough to rise longer than 12 hours enhances flavor.
