Description

A quick and easy dish featuring succulent shrimp coated in a buttery garlic sauce, enhanced with rich Parmesan cheese, perfect for any occasion.

Ingredients

  • 1 pound large shrimp (21-25 count), peeled and deveined
  • 4 tablespoons butter, melted
  • 4 cloves garlic, minced
  • 1/4 cup grated Parmesan cheese
  • 2 tablespoons olive oil
  • 1 tablespoon lemon juice
  • 1 teaspoon dried Italian seasoning
  • 1/2 teaspoon red pepper flakes (optional, for heat)
  • 1/4 teaspoon salt, or to taste
  • 1/4 teaspoon black pepper, or to taste
  • Fresh parsley, chopped (for garnish)
  • Lemon wedges (for serving)

Instructions

  1. If using frozen shrimp, thaw them completely under cold running water. Pat dry with paper towels, ensuring there’s no excess moisture.
  2. In a medium bowl, melt the butter. Add minced garlic and stir to combine. Then mix in grated Parmesan cheese, olive oil, and lemon juice.
  3. Sprinkle in Italian seasoning, red pepper flakes (if desired), salt, and pepper. Stir until blended smoothly.
  4. Place the shrimp in the bowl and toss to coat them entirely in the garlic Parmesan sauce. Cover and refrigerate for 15-30 minutes to marinate.
  5. Preheat your oven to 400°F (200°C). Line a baking sheet with parchment paper or aluminum foil for easy cleanup.
  6. Arrange the marinated shrimp in a single layer on the prepared baking sheet. Pour any remaining sauce from the bowl over the shrimp.
  7. Bake for 8-10 minutes, or until the shrimp turn pink, opaque, and slightly curled.
  8. Garnish with fresh parsley and serve with lemon wedges for an extra burst of flavor. Enjoy!

Notes

For an elevated flavor profile, consider adding a splash of white wine to the sauce for a gourmet touch. Keep an eye on the shrimp while baking; they cook quickly and can turn rubbery if overdone.
