Description

A silky and spicy garlicky butter sauce perfect for enhancing the flavors of seafood dishes.

Ingredients

  • 1 cup (2 sticks) unsalted butter
  • 6 cloves garlic, finely minced or pressed
  • 2 tablespoons Cajun seasoning (adjust for heat)
  • 1 teaspoon paprika
  • 1 teaspoon cayenne pepper (use less if you want milder)
  • 1 tablespoon fresh lemon juice
  • Salt, to taste
  • Fresh parsley, chopped, for garnish

Instructions

  1. Place a medium saucepan over medium heat and add the unsalted butter. Melt it slowly to prevent browning.
  2. Once the butter is melted, add the minced garlic and sauté for about 30–60 seconds, just until fragrant. Do not let it brown or it will turn bitter.
  3. Stir in the Cajun seasoning, paprika, and cayenne pepper until evenly distributed. Taste carefully — the spices are concentrated.
  4. Pour in the fresh lemon juice and immediately reduce the heat to low. Let the sauce simmer gently for about 5 minutes, stirring occasionally so flavors meld.
  5. Taste and add salt as needed, then remove from heat. If the sauce separates, whisk briefly off the heat or add a teaspoon of warm water while whisking to recombine.
  6. Garnish with chopped parsley and serve warm with seafood.

Notes

This sauce pairs well with seafood, pasta, and crusty bread. It can be made ahead and stored in the refrigerator or freezer for longer shelf life.
