A quick and flavorful dish that combines sweet chili and a hint of spice for a delicious weeknight meal.
Ingredients
- 2 fillets of salmon
- 1 tablespoon olive oil
- 1 teaspoon garlic powder
- 1 teaspoon smoked paprika
- Salt & black pepper (to taste)
- 1/2 cup mayonnaise
- 1/4 cup sweet chili sauce
- 1-2 tablespoons Sriracha
- 1 tablespoon honey or maple syrup (optional)
- 1 tablespoon rice vinegar or lime juice
- 2 tablespoons chopped green onions
- 1 tablespoon sesame seeds (optional)
Instructions
- Pat the salmon fillets dry and season with salt, black pepper, garlic powder, and smoked paprika.
- Heat olive oil in a skillet over medium-high heat and place the salmon skin-side down. Cook for 4-6 minutes until seared.
- Flip the salmon and cook for another 4-6 minutes until cooked through and flaky.
- In a separate bowl, whisk together mayonnaise, sweet chili sauce, Sriracha, honey or maple syrup (if using), and rice vinegar or lime juice to create the Bang Bang sauce.
- Remove the salmon from the skillet, drizzle with the sauce, and garnish with chopped green onions and sesame seeds.
Notes
Best enjoyed with rice or quinoa; can also be flaked over a salad for lunch.
