Description

A quick and flavorful dish that combines sweet chili and a hint of spice for a delicious weeknight meal.

Ingredients

  • 2 fillets of salmon
  • 1 tablespoon olive oil
  • 1 teaspoon garlic powder
  • 1 teaspoon smoked paprika
  • Salt & black pepper (to taste)
  • 1/2 cup mayonnaise
  • 1/4 cup sweet chili sauce
  • 1-2 tablespoons Sriracha
  • 1 tablespoon honey or maple syrup (optional)
  • 1 tablespoon rice vinegar or lime juice
  • 2 tablespoons chopped green onions
  • 1 tablespoon sesame seeds (optional)

Instructions

  1. Pat the salmon fillets dry and season with salt, black pepper, garlic powder, and smoked paprika.
  2. Heat olive oil in a skillet over medium-high heat and place the salmon skin-side down. Cook for 4-6 minutes until seared.
  3. Flip the salmon and cook for another 4-6 minutes until cooked through and flaky.
  4. In a separate bowl, whisk together mayonnaise, sweet chili sauce, Sriracha, honey or maple syrup (if using), and rice vinegar or lime juice to create the Bang Bang sauce.
  5. Remove the salmon from the skillet, drizzle with the sauce, and garnish with chopped green onions and sesame seeds.

Notes

Best enjoyed with rice or quinoa; can also be flaked over a salad for lunch.
