Description

A delightful blend of flavors and textures in a crispy, cheesy chicken dish inspired by Longhorn Steakhouse.


Ingredients

  • 4 boneless, skinless chicken breasts
  • 1 cup of bread crumbs
  • 1 cup of grated Parmesan cheese
  • 1 cup of shredded mozzarella cheese
  • 1/2 cup of all-purpose flour
  • 2 large eggs
  • 1/4 cup of milk
  • 2 cloves of garlic, minced
  • 1 teaspoon of Italian seasoning
  • 1/2 teaspoon of salt
  • 1/4 teaspoon of black pepper
  • 2 tablespoons of olive oil


Instructions

  1. Preheat your oven to 375°F (190°C).
  2. In a shallow dish, mix the bread crumbs, half of the grated Parmesan, Italian seasoning, salt, and pepper.
  3. In a second dish, beat together the eggs and milk.
  4. Place the flour in a third dish.
  5. Dredge each chicken breast in the flour, ensuring it’s well coated.
  6. Dip the floured chicken into the egg mixture, allowing any excess to drip off.
  7. Finally, coat the chicken in the breadcrumb mixture, pressing down to adhere well.
  8. Heat olive oil in a large skillet over medium heat and cook the chicken for about 3-4 minutes on each side, or until golden brown.
  9. Transfer the chicken to a baking dish.
  10. In a bowl, mix the remaining Parmesan, mozzarella, and minced garlic, then sprinkle this mixture generously over the chicken.
  11. Bake for 20-25 minutes or until the chicken is cooked through and the cheese is bubbly.

Notes

For best results, flatten chicken breasts evenly for uniform cooking. Experiment with spices for added flavor.
