Description
A delightful blend of flavors and textures in a crispy, cheesy chicken dish inspired by Longhorn Steakhouse.
Ingredients
- 4 boneless, skinless chicken breasts
- 1 cup of bread crumbs
- 1 cup of grated Parmesan cheese
- 1 cup of shredded mozzarella cheese
- 1/2 cup of all-purpose flour
- 2 large eggs
- 1/4 cup of milk
- 2 cloves of garlic, minced
- 1 teaspoon of Italian seasoning
- 1/2 teaspoon of salt
- 1/4 teaspoon of black pepper
- 2 tablespoons of olive oil
Instructions
- Preheat your oven to 375°F (190°C).
- In a shallow dish, mix the bread crumbs, half of the grated Parmesan, Italian seasoning, salt, and pepper.
- In a second dish, beat together the eggs and milk.
- Place the flour in a third dish.
- Dredge each chicken breast in the flour, ensuring it’s well coated.
- Dip the floured chicken into the egg mixture, allowing any excess to drip off.
- Finally, coat the chicken in the breadcrumb mixture, pressing down to adhere well.
- Heat olive oil in a large skillet over medium heat and cook the chicken for about 3-4 minutes on each side, or until golden brown.
- Transfer the chicken to a baking dish.
- In a bowl, mix the remaining Parmesan, mozzarella, and minced garlic, then sprinkle this mixture generously over the chicken.
- Bake for 20-25 minutes or until the chicken is cooked through and the cheese is bubbly.
Notes
For best results, flatten chicken breasts evenly for uniform cooking. Experiment with spices for added flavor.
