- 500g bread flour
- 375g water
- 10g salt
- 100g sourdough starter
Instructions
- In a large bowl, mix the bread flour and water until a shaggy dough forms.
- Let the dough rest for 30 minutes.
- Add the salt and sourdough starter. Mix thoroughly until combined.
- Knead the dough for about 10 minutes until smooth and elastic.
- Transfer to a greased bowl, cover, and let it rise for 4 to 8 hours, until doubled in size.
- Shape the dough into a ball and rest for another 30 minutes.
- Shape again into a loaf and place in a proofing basket. Cover and let it rise for another 2 to 4 hours.
- Preheat your oven to 450°F (230°C) with a Dutch oven inside.
- Transfer the dough into the hot Dutch oven, cover it, and bake for 30 minutes.
- Remove the lid and bake for an additional 15 to 20 minutes until golden brown.
- Cool on a wire rack before slicing to enjoy.
