Ingredients

  • 2 ripe bananas, mashed
  • 1/2 cup brown sugar
  • 1/4 cup granulated sugar
  • 1/2 cup melted butter
  • 1 teaspoon vanilla extract
  • 1 cup all-purpose flour
  • 1/2 teaspoon baking soda
  • 1/4 teaspoon salt
  • 1/2 cup chopped nuts (like walnuts or pecans)
  • 1/2 cup chocolate chips (optional)


Instructions

  1. Preheat your oven to 350°F (175°C) and grease a baking dish.
  2. In a bowl, blend the mashed bananas with brown sugar, granulated sugar, melted butter, and vanilla extract until smooth and creamy.
  3. In another bowl, whisk together flour, baking soda, and salt.
  4. Gradually combine the dry ingredients into the wet banana mixture until just mixed.
  5. Fold in the chopped nuts and optional chocolate chips.
  6. Pour the batter into the prepared dish, smoothing the top.
  7. Bake for 25 to 30 minutes, or until a toothpick inserted comes out clean.
  8. Let cool in the pan before cutting into squares for serving.

Notes
