A simple and flavorful Oven Roasted BBQ Chicken that’s perfect for any occasion, featuring tender chicken breasts coated in sweet barbecue sauce.
Ingredients
- 4 boneless, skinless chicken breasts (about 1.5–2 lbs total)
- 3/4 to 1 cup of your favorite BBQ sauce
- 1/2 to 1 teaspoon salt (to taste)
- 1/2 teaspoon black pepper
- 1/2 teaspoon garlic powder
- 1/2 teaspoon paprika
Instructions
- Preheat your oven to 375°F (190°C) and position a rack in the center.
- Pat the chicken breasts dry with paper towels.
- Rub both sides of each chicken breast with salt, black pepper, garlic powder, and paprika.
- Place the seasoned breasts in a lightly oiled baking dish and bake uncovered for 25 minutes.
- Brush each breast generously with BBQ sauce and return to the oven for an additional 20 minutes.
- Add another layer of BBQ sauce to each breast and bake for a final 10 minutes, until the internal temperature reaches 165°F (74°C).
- Let the chicken rest for 5 minutes before slicing or serving.
Notes
