Description

Delicious mini cheesesteaks baked to perfection, perfect for parties or a quick weeknight dinner.

Ingredients

  • 1 package slider buns (split into top and bottom halves)
  • 1216 oz thinly sliced roast beef (deli-style)
  • Provolone cheese slices (enough to cover sliders)
  • 1 large onion, thinly sliced
  • 1 bell pepper (any color), thinly sliced
  • 12 tbsp olive oil
  • Salt and black pepper, to taste

Instructions

  1. Preheat the oven to 350°F (175°C).
  2. Heat 1–2 tablespoons of olive oil in a skillet over medium heat. Add sliced onions and bell peppers, season with a pinch of salt, and sauté stirring occasionally until soft and caramelized (about 12–15 minutes).
  3. Arrange the bottom halves of the slider buns in a baking dish so they sit snugly together.
  4. Pile an even layer of thinly sliced roast beef over the bottom buns. Season lightly with pepper.
  5. Spoon the caramelized onions and peppers over the roast beef uniformly.
  6. Place provolone slices on top of the veggies, overlapping as needed to cover each slider.
  7. Replace the top halves of the buns, pressing lightly to hold everything together. Optionally brush the tops with melted butter for extra flavor.
  8. Bake in the preheated oven for about 15 minutes, or until the cheese is fully melted and the sliders are heated through. If you like a crisp top, broil for 1–2 minutes—watch closely.
  9. Remove from oven, slice between sliders, and serve immediately.

Notes

These sliders can be assembled ahead of time and stored in the refrigerator. They are freezer-friendly for up to a month. Reheat in the oven for best results.
