Description
Delicious mini cheesesteaks baked to perfection, perfect for parties or a quick weeknight dinner.
Ingredients
- 1 package slider buns (split into top and bottom halves)
- 12–16 oz thinly sliced roast beef (deli-style)
- Provolone cheese slices (enough to cover sliders)
- 1 large onion, thinly sliced
- 1 bell pepper (any color), thinly sliced
- 1–2 tbsp olive oil
- Salt and black pepper, to taste
Instructions
- Preheat the oven to 350°F (175°C).
- Heat 1–2 tablespoons of olive oil in a skillet over medium heat. Add sliced onions and bell peppers, season with a pinch of salt, and sauté stirring occasionally until soft and caramelized (about 12–15 minutes).
- Arrange the bottom halves of the slider buns in a baking dish so they sit snugly together.
- Pile an even layer of thinly sliced roast beef over the bottom buns. Season lightly with pepper.
- Spoon the caramelized onions and peppers over the roast beef uniformly.
- Place provolone slices on top of the veggies, overlapping as needed to cover each slider.
- Replace the top halves of the buns, pressing lightly to hold everything together. Optionally brush the tops with melted butter for extra flavor.
- Bake in the preheated oven for about 15 minutes, or until the cheese is fully melted and the sliders are heated through. If you like a crisp top, broil for 1–2 minutes—watch closely.
- Remove from oven, slice between sliders, and serve immediately.
Notes
These sliders can be assembled ahead of time and stored in the refrigerator. They are freezer-friendly for up to a month. Reheat in the oven for best results.
