Description
Easy-to-assemble mini pizzas built on Hawaiian rolls, perfect for weeknight dinners, potlucks, or game-day gatherings.
Ingredients
- 1 package soft Hawaiian rolls (12 count), sliced horizontally
- 1 cup pizza sauce (store-bought or homemade), about 1 tablespoon per roll
- 1½–2 cups shredded mozzarella cheese
- Pepperoni or other toppings: bell peppers, mushrooms, olives, cooked sausage (thin), etc.
- 3 tablespoons unsalted butter, melted
- ½ teaspoon garlic powder
- ½ teaspoon Italian seasoning (or a pinch each of dried oregano and basil)
Instructions
- Preheat the oven to 350°F (175°C).
- Slice the Hawaiian rolls horizontally and place the bottom halves snugly in a baking dish.
- Spread pizza sauce evenly over the bottom halves.
- Sprinkle the shredded mozzarella over the sauce and add your toppings.
- Place the top halves back on the sliders and press gently.
- Brush melted butter mixed with garlic powder and Italian seasoning over the tops.
- Cover the dish with foil and bake for 10 minutes.
- Remove the foil and bake for another 5–10 minutes until golden and bubbly.
- Let rest for 2–3 minutes, then slice and serve warm.
Notes
These sliders can be customized with different toppings and sauces. For a lower-fat version, use part-skim mozzarella. For dairy-free, choose dairy-free cheese alternatives.
