A rich and buttery salmon dish enhanced with a zesty garlic lemon butter sauce, perfect for weeknight dinners or special gatherings.
Ingredients
- 4 salmon fillets (6–8 oz each), skin-on or skinless
- Salt and black pepper, to taste
- 2 tablespoons olive oil
- 1 teaspoon paprika (optional)
- 4 cloves garlic, minced
- 1/4 cup fresh lemon juice (approximately 2 lemons)
- Zest of 1 lemon
- 1/2 cup unsalted butter
- 2 tablespoons fresh parsley, chopped
Instructions
- Preheat your oven to 375°F (190°C).
- Pat the salmon fillets dry with paper towels and season both sides with salt, black pepper, and paprika.
- Heat olive oil in a large oven-safe skillet over medium-high heat until shimmering.
- Place the salmon fillets skin-side down and press lightly for 10 seconds. Sear for 3–4 minutes.
- Flip the fillets and sear the other side for 2–3 minutes.
- Transfer the skillet to the oven and roast for 10–12 minutes, or until the salmon flakes easily.
- In a small saucepan, melt the unsalted butter over medium heat. Add minced garlic and sauté for 1–2 minutes until fragrant.
- Stir in lemon juice and zest, and simmer for 2–3 minutes until slightly reduced. Adjust seasoning with salt and pepper.
- Spoon the garlic lemon butter sauce over the salmon, garnish with chopped parsley, and serve.
Notes
For a dairy-free option, use coconut oil or vegan butter. Ensure the skillet is hot for the best crust.
