Description

A rich and buttery salmon dish enhanced with a zesty garlic lemon butter sauce, perfect for weeknight dinners or special gatherings.

Ingredients

  • 4 salmon fillets (68 oz each), skin-on or skinless
  • Salt and black pepper, to taste
  • 2 tablespoons olive oil
  • 1 teaspoon paprika (optional)
  • 4 cloves garlic, minced
  • 1/4 cup fresh lemon juice (approximately 2 lemons)
  • Zest of 1 lemon
  • 1/2 cup unsalted butter
  • 2 tablespoons fresh parsley, chopped

Instructions

  1. Preheat your oven to 375°F (190°C).
  2. Pat the salmon fillets dry with paper towels and season both sides with salt, black pepper, and paprika.
  3. Heat olive oil in a large oven-safe skillet over medium-high heat until shimmering.
  4. Place the salmon fillets skin-side down and press lightly for 10 seconds. Sear for 3–4 minutes.
  5. Flip the fillets and sear the other side for 2–3 minutes.
  6. Transfer the skillet to the oven and roast for 10–12 minutes, or until the salmon flakes easily.
  7. In a small saucepan, melt the unsalted butter over medium heat. Add minced garlic and sauté for 1–2 minutes until fragrant.
  8. Stir in lemon juice and zest, and simmer for 2–3 minutes until slightly reduced. Adjust seasoning with salt and pepper.
  9. Spoon the garlic lemon butter sauce over the salmon, garnish with chopped parsley, and serve.

Notes

For a dairy-free option, use coconut oil or vegan butter. Ensure the skillet is hot for the best crust.
