Description

A creamy, decadent seafood dish featuring shrimp and scallops, topped with a crispy breadcrumb layer, perfect for impressing guests or enhancing any weeknight meal.

Ingredients

  • Shrimp: Fresh or frozen, peeled and deveined
  • Scallops: Preferably dry for best flavor
  • Cheese: Gruyère or Parmesan
  • Heavy cream: For a luxurious base
  • Garlic: Freshly minced
  • Butter: For richness
  • Breadcrumbs: For the crunchy topping
  • Salt and pepper: To taste
  • Fresh parsley: For garnish

Instructions

  1. Preheat your oven to 375°F (190°C).
  2. Melt butter in a skillet over medium heat and sauté minced garlic until fragrant, about 30 seconds.
  3. Add shrimp and scallops, cooking until they turn pink but are not fully cooked.
  4. Transfer seafood to a baking dish, layering evenly.
  5. Pour heavy cream over seafood and sprinkle generously with cheese.
  6. Top with breadcrumbs, followed by a dash of salt and pepper.
  7. Bake for around 20 minutes, or until bubbly and golden on top.
  8. Garnish with fresh parsley before serving.

Notes

Consider using gluten-free breadcrumbs for a gluten-free version or swap cheese for dairy-free alternatives if needed.
