Description
A luxurious seafood lasagna featuring layers of tender noodles, succulent shrimp, and luscious crab, all in a rich Alfredo sauce.
Ingredients
- 12 sheets of lasagna noodles
- 1 pound crab meat
- 1 pound shrimp, peeled and deveined
- 2 cups shredded mozzarella cheese
- 2 cups ricotta cheese
- 1 cup grated Parmesan cheese
- 1 cup heavy cream
- 4 cups Alfredo sauce
- 1/2 teaspoon chili flakes
- 2 sprigs of parsley, finely chopped
- 1 teaspoon salt
- 2 garlic cloves, minced
- 2 tablespoons olive oil
- 1 teaspoon ground black pepper
- 1/2 cup breadcrumb topping
Instructions
- Preheat your oven to 375°F (190°C).
- Boil the lasagna noodles according to package directions. Drain and set aside to cool.
- In a large pan over medium heat, warm the olive oil. Sauté the garlic for about a minute.
- Add the shrimp to the pan. Cook until they turn pink and opaque, around 3-4 minutes.
- Stir in the crab meat, salt, pepper, and chili flakes. Cook for another 2-3 minutes, then remove from heat.
- In a mixing bowl, combine the ricotta cheese, half of the Parmesan, one cup of mozzarella, parsley, and heavy cream. Mix until smooth and well-blended.
- Spread a layer of Alfredo sauce in a 9×13 inch baking dish to prevent sticking.
- Layer the noodles, cheese mixture, seafood, and sauce. Repeat this process until you have three layers, finishing with noodles and Alfredo sauce on top.
- Sprinkle with the remaining Parmesan, mozzarella, and breadcrumbs.
- Cover the dish loosely with foil and bake for 25 minutes. Then, remove the foil and bake for an additional 10-15 minutes until bubbling and golden brown.
- Allow the lasagna to rest for 10 minutes before serving. Garnish with parsley if desired.
Notes
Pairs beautifully with a crisp green salad and crusty garlic bread. Store leftovers in an airtight container for up to 3-4 days.
