A quick and easy recipe for fresh, creamy guacamole that’s perfect for any gathering or as a snack.
Ingredients
- 3 ripe avocados
- 1 lime, juiced
- 1/2 teaspoon kosher salt
- 1/2 cup diced tomatoes
- 1/4 cup chopped onion
- 2 tablespoons chopped fresh cilantro
- 1 jalapeño, seeded and minced (optional)
- 1/2 teaspoon garlic powder (optional)
Instructions
- Cut the avocados in half. Remove the pit, and scoop the flesh into a mixing bowl.
- Mash the avocados to your desired consistency using a fork.
- Add in the lime juice, kosher salt, diced tomatoes, chopped onion, cilantro, and jalapeño (if using).
- Stir everything together gently until well combined.
- Taste the guacamole and adjust seasonings as needed.
- Serve immediately with tortilla chips or as a topping for tacos.
Notes
For best results, use ripe avocados. Store leftovers in an airtight container with plastic wrap pressed to the surface to prevent browning.
