Ingredients

  • 3 medium ripe bananas
  • 1/2 cup melted butter
  • 1 cup granulated sugar
  • 1/2 cup brown sugar
  • 2 large eggs
  • 1 teaspoon vanilla extract
  • 1 cup all-purpose flour
  • 1 teaspoon baking soda
  • 1/2 teaspoon salt
  • 1/2 cup cocoa powder
  • 1/4 cup milk
  • 1 cup chocolate chips (optional)
  • 1 teaspoon ground cinnamon
  • 2 tablespoons butter (for drizzling on top)


Instructions

  1. Preheat your oven to 350°F (175°C) and grease a baking dish.
  2. Mash the ripe bananas until they’re smooth.
  3. Stir in the melted butter along with both sugars, ensuring it’s well combined.
  4. Add the eggs and vanilla extract, mixing until the batter is smooth.
  5. Whisk together the flour, cocoa powder, baking soda, salt, and ground cinnamon in a separate bowl.
  6. Gradually blend the dry ingredients into the banana mixture.
  7. Pour in the milk and stir until just combined, then add in the chocolate chips if using.
  8. Pour the batter into your prepared baking dish and smooth the top.
  9. Melt 2 tablespoons of butter and drizzle it on top before baking.
  10. Bake for 25-30 minutes or until a toothpick inserted comes out clean.
  11. Allow to cool, slice, and enjoy!

Notes
