Ingredients
- 3 medium ripe bananas
- 1/2 cup melted butter
- 1 cup granulated sugar
- 1/2 cup brown sugar
- 2 large eggs
- 1 teaspoon vanilla extract
- 1 cup all-purpose flour
- 1 teaspoon baking soda
- 1/2 teaspoon salt
- 1/2 cup cocoa powder
- 1/4 cup milk
- 1 cup chocolate chips (optional)
- 1 teaspoon ground cinnamon
- 2 tablespoons butter (for drizzling on top)
Instructions
- Preheat your oven to 350°F (175°C) and grease a baking dish.
- Mash the ripe bananas until they’re smooth.
- Stir in the melted butter along with both sugars, ensuring it’s well combined.
- Add the eggs and vanilla extract, mixing until the batter is smooth.
- Whisk together the flour, cocoa powder, baking soda, salt, and ground cinnamon in a separate bowl.
- Gradually blend the dry ingredients into the banana mixture.
- Pour in the milk and stir until just combined, then add in the chocolate chips if using.
- Pour the batter into your prepared baking dish and smooth the top.
- Melt 2 tablespoons of butter and drizzle it on top before baking.
- Bake for 25-30 minutes or until a toothpick inserted comes out clean.
- Allow to cool, slice, and enjoy!

For extra flavor, consider adding a splash of espresso powder or a salted caramel drizzle on top before serving.
