Ingredients
- 3 1/4 cups all-purpose flour
- 1 1/2 teaspoons salt
- 1 teaspoon sugar
- 1 packet active dry yeast (2 1/4 teaspoons)
- 1 1/4 cups warm water
Instructions
- Mix the warm water, yeast, and sugar in a bowl and let sit for 5 minutes.
- Combine flour and salt in a large mixing bowl.
- Add the yeast mixture to the flour and stir until combined.
- Cover the bowl with a damp towel and let the dough rise for 1-2 hours.
- Preheat your oven to 450°F (230°C).
- Shape the dough into a round loaf and place it on a parchment-lined baking sheet.
- Bake for 25-30 minutes or until the crust is golden brown.
