Description

Dense, rich, and oh-so-chocolatey, these fudgy brownies are a crowd-pleaser, perfect for any occasion.


Ingredients

  • 1/2 cup melted butter
  • 1 cup granulated sugar
  • 2 large eggs
  • 1 tsp vanilla extract
  • 1/3 cup unsweetened cocoa powder
  • 1/2 cup all-purpose flour
  • 1/4 tsp salt
  • 1/4 tsp baking powder
  • Optional: 1/2 cup chocolate chips


Instructions

  1. Preheat your oven to 350°F (175°C). Grease a 9×9 inch baking dish.
  2. In a mixing bowl, combine the melted butter with granulated sugar. Beat until smooth.
  3. Add the eggs and vanilla extract, mixing until well combined.
  4. In another bowl, whisk together the cocoa powder, flour, salt, and baking powder.
  5. Gradually fold the dry mixture into the wet ingredients, mixing gently until just combined.
  6. If using chocolate chips, fold them into the batter now.
  7. Pour the brownie batter into your prepared baking dish, smoothing it out evenly.
  8. Bake for 20-25 minutes, or until a toothpick inserted in the center comes out with a few moist crumbs.
  9. Let the brownies cool before cutting them into squares.

Notes
