Ingredients
- 1/2 cup melted butter
- 1 cup granulated sugar
- 2 large eggs
- 1 tsp vanilla extract
- 1/3 cup unsweetened cocoa powder
- 1/2 cup all-purpose flour
- 1/4 tsp salt
- 1/4 tsp baking powder
- Optional: 1/2 cup chocolate chips
Instructions
- Preheat your oven to 350°F (175°C). Grease a 9×9 inch baking dish.
- In a mixing bowl, combine the melted butter with granulated sugar. Beat until smooth.
- Add the eggs and vanilla extract, mixing until well combined.
- In another bowl, whisk together the cocoa powder, flour, salt, and baking powder.
- Gradually fold the dry mixture into the wet ingredients, mixing gently until just combined.
- If using chocolate chips, fold them into the batter now.
- Pour the brownie batter into your prepared baking dish, smoothing it out evenly.
- Bake for 20-25 minutes, or until a toothpick inserted in the center comes out with a few moist crumbs.
- Let the brownies cool before cutting them into squares.
