Description
Simple and refreshing homemade orange popsicles made from fresh-squeezed orange juice.
Ingredients
- 2 cups fresh orange juice (about 6–8 medium oranges)
- 1/4 cup granulated sugar
- Zest of 1 orange
- 1 tablespoon lemon juice (optional)
Instructions
- Juice the oranges until you have about 2 cups of juice. Strain through a fine-mesh sieve if desired.
- In a mixing bowl, combine orange juice, granulated sugar, orange zest, and lemon juice. Stir until sugar dissolves.
- Taste and adjust sweetness if needed.
- Pour the mixture into popsicle molds, leaving 1/4 inch at the top.
- Insert sticks and freeze the molds flat for 4–6 hours or overnight.
- To unmold, run molds under warm water for 10–20 seconds and gently pull out popsicles.
Notes
If oranges are very sweet, reduce sugar. For tart oranges, add up to 1/3 cup sugar. Store in an airtight container or zip-top freezer bag to prevent freezer burn.
