Description

A visually stunning cake with a marbled pink and white interior, perfect for special occasions and celebrations.

Ingredients

  • 2 cups all-purpose flour
  • 1 1/2 cups granulated sugar
  • 1/2 cup unsalted butter, softened
  • 1 cup milk
  • 3 1/2 teaspoons baking powder
  • 1 teaspoon vanilla extract
  • 1/2 teaspoon salt
  • 3 large eggs
  • Pink food coloring
  • Buttercream frosting
  • Optional: Edible flowers or additional decorations

Instructions

  1. Preheat your oven to 350°F (175°C) and grease two 9-inch round cake pans.
  2. Cream the softened butter and granulated sugar until light and fluffy.
  3. Add the eggs one at a time, mixing well after each addition. Stir in the milk and vanilla extract.
  4. Combine the flour, baking powder, and salt in another bowl. Gradually whisk this dry mixture into the wet ingredients, just until combined.
  5. Divide the batter between two bowls. Stir pink food coloring into one bowl until your desired shade is achieved.
  6. Pour the batters into the prepared pans, alternating the pink and white batter to create a marbled effect.
  7. Bake for 25-30 minutes or until a toothpick comes out clean.
  8. Cool the cakes in the pans for 10 minutes, then transfer to wire racks to cool completely.
  9. Frost with your favorite buttercream and decorate as desired.

Notes

Make sure all ingredients are at room temperature for better mixing. Don’t overmix the batter once the flour is added.
