Ingredients
- 5 croissants, torn into 1-inch pieces
- 1.75 cups mixed berries (fresh or frozen)
- 8 oz cream cheese, softened to room temperature
- 1 cup milk
- 1/3 cup sugar
- 2 eggs
- 1 tsp vanilla extract
- 1 tsp finely grated lemon zest
- 1/4 tsp ground cinnamon
- 1/2 cup powdered sugar, sifted (for topping)
- 3 tbsp cream (for topping)
- 1 tsp vanilla bean paste (for topping)
Instructions
- Preheat your oven to 350°F (175°C).
- Beat the cream cheese until smooth.
- Whisk together milk, sugar, eggs, vanilla, lemon zest, and cinnamon with the cream cheese.
- Fold in the croissant pieces and mixed berries.
- Transfer the mixture to a greased baking dish and let it sit for a few minutes.
- Bake for about 30-35 minutes, or until golden brown and set.
- Prepare the topping by whisking together the powdered sugar, cream, and vanilla bean paste until smooth.
- Serve warm, drizzled with the sweet cream.
