Description
An explosion of flavor wrapped in juicy chicken with a delightful kick from fresh jalapeños and melty Pepper Jack cheese.
Ingredients
- 1 lb boneless, skinless chicken breasts (about 3–4 breasts)
- 2 fresh jalapeños, finely chopped
- 1 cup Pepper Jack cheese, sliced
- ½ cup breadcrumbs (plain or seasoned)
- 1 tsp garlic powder
- 1 tsp onion powder
- ½ tsp salt
- ¼ tsp black pepper
- 4 burger buns (brioche recommended)
- Lettuce and tomato slices for topping
Instructions
- Start by chopping the jalapeños and adding them to a large mixing bowl.
- Combine the ground chicken, jalapeños, garlic powder, onion powder, salt, pepper, and breadcrumbs in the bowl. Mix until just combined.
- Shape the mixture into four equal patties, aiming for about 1-inch thickness.
- Heat a skillet over medium heat or preheat the grill. Cook the patties for 5-6 minutes on each side, or until golden brown and fully cooked.
- Place a slice of Pepper Jack cheese atop each patty to melt during the last minute of cooking, while simultaneously toasting the burger buns in another pan.
- Assemble your burgers by placing the patty on the bun and adding fresh lettuce and tomato slices. Customize with any extra toppings you desire!
Notes
Consider pairing these burgers with crispy sweet potato fries or a refreshing garden salad. Add sriracha or chipotle mayo for extra heat.
