Description

A scrumptious pastry blending rich flavors of cheese, bacon, and spinach, perfect for St. Patrick’s Day celebrations.

Ingredients

  • 1 cup shredded cheese (cheddar recommended)
  • 1 cup cooked and crumbled bacon
  • 1 cup chopped spinach (fresh or frozen, thawed and drained)
  • 1 package puff pastry (thawed)
  • 1 egg (for egg wash)

Instructions

  1. Preheat your oven to 375°F (190°C).
  2. Combine the shredded cheese, crumbled bacon, and chopped spinach in a mixing bowl. Mix thoroughly.
  3. Roll out the puff pastry on a floured surface and cut it into squares.
  4. Spoon a generous amount of the filling mixture into the center of each pastry square.
  5. Fold the squares to create pockets. Press the edges together and use a fork to seal.
  6. Beat the egg in a small bowl; brush it over the top of each pastry.
  7. Place the pastries on a baking sheet and bake for 20-25 minutes or until puffed and golden brown.

Notes

To prevent soggy bottoms, ensure the puff pastry is well-chilled before baking. You can freeze unbaked pastries for up to 2 months.
