Description

A delightful treat combining chewy oats and luscious strawberry jam, perfect for snacks or desserts.


Ingredients

  • 2 cups rolled oats
  • 1 cup all-purpose flour
  • 1/2 cup brown sugar
  • 1/2 cup butter, melted
  • 1 cup strawberry jam
  • 1/2 teaspoon salt
  • 1/2 teaspoon baking soda
  • 1 teaspoon vanilla extract


Instructions

  1. Preheat your oven to 350°F (175°C) and grease a 9×9 inch baking pan.
  2. Combine the rolled oats, flour, brown sugar, melted butter, salt, baking soda, and vanilla extract in a large bowl. Mix until crumbly.
  3. Press half of the mixture into the bottom of the greased pan to form a crust.
  4. Spread the strawberry jam evenly over the crust.
  5. Crumble the remaining oat mixture on top of the jam layer.
  6. Bake in the preheated oven for 25-30 minutes, or until the top is golden brown.
  7. Allow to cool before cutting into squares and enjoy!

Notes

Store leftovers in an airtight container at room temperature for up to three days or freeze for longer storage. Use quick oats for a softer texture, or old-fashioned oats for chewiness.
