Ingredients
- 1 pound strawberries, sliced
- 8 oz mascarpone cheese
- 1 cup heavy cream
- 1/2 cup powdered sugar
- 1 teaspoon vanilla extract
- 1 cup brewed coffee, cooled
- 24 ladyfinger cookies
- Cocoa powder, for dusting
Instructions
- In a bowl, whip the heavy cream, powdered sugar, and vanilla extract together until soft peaks form.
- Carefully fold the mascarpone cheese into the whipped cream mixture, creating a smooth consistency.
- Dip each ladyfinger in the cooled coffee for just a few seconds, ensuring they’re soaked but not mushy.
- In a serving dish, layer the soaked ladyfingers, followed by a layer of the mascarpone mixture and a layer of sliced strawberries.
- Repeat the layers until all components are used, making sure the top layer is the mascarpone mixture.
- Dust the top with cocoa powder for a lovely finish.
- Cover and refrigerate for at least 240 minutes, allowing the dessert to set beautifully.
